In our world today rapid communication is key, Public Information and Marketing has become an important service of Municipal government.

The role of the public information department is to help citizens better access and understand City services and policies. The City utilizes a variety of mediums to communicate with citizens

Mass Media - The responsibilities include media relations.  PIM provides ongoing information to the media.  By working with the media the City of Bethany is able to expand its dispursion of information.

Bethany 20 is your government access channel, provided as a part of the City's franchise agreement with Cox Cable.

Bethany 20 is always on, with a variety of live and taped public meetings, news programs, and interesting interviews hosted by the Mayor and by Council members. - Large documents such as the budget and changing information, from City Council and other City board, trust or commission agendas to the weekly animal shelter pet photos and listings, are posted on the site. Downloadable forms, e-mail, online Action Center service requests are among the interactive features.

Other Publications - PIM publishes the Bethany Resident's Guide.

We also produce a variety of brochures, flyers, and documents.

Mayor's Action Center - The Mayor's Action Center provides citizens with the ability to offer their feedback on important city issues.
